[Paris, France, 16 January 2024] – At the occasion of the France - Cambodia Business Forum organized by MEDEF and chaired by H.E. Samdech Moha Borvor Thipadei Dr. HUN Manet, Prime Minister of Cambodia, OCIC Group signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Aloest Productions, a French audio visual production company, to establish a partnership support for the promotion of the documentary movie "The Perfect Motion" in France and Europe.
The documentary film "The Perfect Motion "(or "Tep Hattha" in Khmer) delves into the history of the Royal Ballet of Cambodia and Apsara dance, a traditional Khmer dance. The film also explores the commitment of the late Princess Norodom Buppha Devi, former Cambodian Minister of Culture and Director of the Royal Ballet, to preserving Cambodia's cultural heritage. Elegant Khmer dance has its roots in the country's ancient history, reflecting mythological, religious and historical themes that have captivated many French audiences. In 1906, the famous sculptor Auguste Rodin first saw the dance at a performance in Paris and fell in love with it.

The Khmer Rouge war less than half a century ago plunged Cambodia into a dark period when art was strictly forbidden. Despite this direct threat to its cultural identity, the rapidly expanding Kingdom of Cambodia is now eager to share the richness of its rediscovered heritage with the rest of the world.
Before its national release in cinemas in more than 30cities of France starting 13th March 2024, the film will be screened during a tour of previews in Brussels, around France, and Geneva. The tour will begin at the Museum of Asian arts-Guimet in Paris on 12th February2024 and will end at the UNESCO World Headquarters on the 11th March2024. Each preview will be preceded by an Apsara dance performance by dancers from the Royal Ballet of Cambodia, offering to the audiences an experience similar to that enjoyed by Auguste Rodin.

[Paris, France, 16 January 2024] – Under the esteemed auspices of His Excellency Samdech Moha Borvor Thipadei Dr. Hun Manet, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia, OCIC (Overseas Cambodian Investment Corporation) and Platform Impact are pleased to announce the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to support the establishment of an innovative Computer Programming school in Connexion, Koh Pich, Phnom Penh, inspired from France.
In a significant step towards fostering education and technological empowerment, Overseas Cambodian Investment Corporation (OCIC) and Platform Impact have entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to jointly support the tech-educational ecosystem by offering high-quality, accessible, and industry-relevant education in computer programming and software development.
The partnership aims to provide free tuition to students with or without degrees who are 18 years or older. The teaching methods are based on peer learning: no teachers, no lectures, and project-based learning, in a gamified environment to develop technical and soft skills needed for the digital economy.
This MOU, signed on the 15th of January at MEDEF in Paris by Dr. Lim Lina, Vice Chairperson of Canadia Group & OCIC together with Wisal Win, Chairman of Platform Impact, solidifies the commitment of both organizations to contribute resources and expertise to create a sustainable and impact full earning environment for students, focusing on inclusivity, innovation, and skills development.
